Job Overview:

We seek a driven and personable Account Executive to join our sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with new clients, driving sales, and contributing to our company's growth by achieving sales targets and representing Blue Orange Digital at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to generate new business opportunities and leads. This role demands a motivated and results-driven professional who excels in a fast-paced environment.

This role is a contract-to-hire position.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through targeted lead generation activities, including strategic prospecting, cold calling, networking, and leveraging digital marketing tools to expand the client base.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to securing a deal.
  • Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows as a representative of Blue Orange Digital.
  • Strategically prepare for the event, actively work the event, promptly follow up, and track metrics.
  • Before events, conduct research, identify potential leads from target accounts, develop a plan to connect with priority leads, prepare tailored value propositions, and schedule meetings with qualified prospects.
  • During events, arrive early, engage and qualify attendees, maximize attendance at networking sessions such as meals and breaks, collect detailed lead information, and schedule follow-up meetings with key prospects before concluding.
  • Effectively 'work the room' to promote our services and capabilities, build brand awareness, and engage with prospective customers to expand our market presence.
  • Post-events, promptly input all leads and notes into the CRM, prioritize the hottest leads for immediate follow-up within 1-2 days, and develop customized nurture campaigns for colder leads.
  • Deliver compelling value propositions.
  • Network with attendees, collect leads and gather contact information for follow-up.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within the industry.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with the RevGen team to develop engaging event materials and promotions.
  • Manage lead tracking and follow-up processes to generate sales-qualified leads.
  • Maintain CRM completely up-to-date.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly lead generation and sales quotas.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in sales, account management, or a similar role (event marketing experience is a plus).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong networking abilities and a talent for building relationships.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and lead management tools.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and target-driven mindset.
  • Knowledge of the company's products/services and industry landscape.
  • Hunter mentality, results-driven, and growth mindset.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for events and conferences, as required to generate required sales-qualified leads.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with CRMs such as HubSpot or Salesforce, sales automation tools, Zoom Info, Confluence, Asana, and others.
  • Highly personable with a strong ability to deliver to executive decision-makers.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with internal teams.

Salary: Contract pay rate of $50/hour to $55/hour to start, with a potential permanent salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 plus benefits and commission if converted to a full-time role. We cover all event/conference/trade show costs as well as travel, accommodations, and a per diem for food and beverage.
